Inspiring the Black Country (Home Educated Signups)
Jul 2 @ 1:15 pm - 2:45 pm

‘You cannot be what you cannot see’. This event reflects the local labour market and showcases businesses who are based and producing things in the Black Country.
THE EVENT WILL:
- Inspire young people to make informed decisions about their future careers and help understand how subjects relate to the workplace and ‘real’ roles within business
- Provide an insight into the world of work, enabling young people to engage with local employers through industry related tasks, hands on interactive activities that simulate real roles. This could be in the form of props, games, quizzes, interactive displays and general ‘have-a-go activities’
- Engaging young people in activities that will help them understand the skills and qualities needed for particular roles
- Inform young people of roles, technologies and local innovation they didn’t know about, discovering potential new interests.
- Enable employers to provide activities and show innovation that demystify certain sectors and roles
All exhibitors will be providing an engaging ‘have a go’ activity for young people and parent/carers to inform and inspire on a variety of careers.
We currently have businesses showcasing sectors from hospitality, legal, built environment, engineering, health and social care and more!
