Trauma-Informed: Theory and Principles

This introductory course for frontline staff explores Complex Trauma and its impact on service users and introduces delegates to why a trauma-informed approach is vital when working with individuals with complex needs.
Timings: Module 1 – 9.30 am – 11.00 am; Module 2 12.00 pm – 1.30 pm; Module 3 – 2.30 pm – 4.00 pm
The maximum number of delegates for this course is 20. Course will be delivered virtually via Zoom.

Staff and volunteers working with complex needs individuals.
What will your team learn?
Through this course, you will:
- Learn definitions and explore Complex Trauma.
- Explore how Complex Trauma impacts people.
- Apply a safety and strengths-based approach to individual roles.
- Learn the impact of Complex Trauma can have on staff (vicarious trauma/empathy fatigue.)
- Learn what being trauma-informed looks like (key principles and definitions.
- Develop individually tailored goals and actions to embed the key theories and principles learnt on the course
