On 24 September, the West Midlands Health Technologies Cluster will hold its formal launch at the University of Warwick.
Fittingly, the launch will be held at a conference about the UK’s diagnostics sector.
Executive Chair, David Kidney says the Cluster has come of age very quickly:
“The West Midlands Health Technologies Cluster is already a strong and dynamic alliance of regional businesses. Their health technologies products and services cover medical devices, digital services, data systems – and diagnostics. We have great buy-in also from professional services, Universities and the NHS.
“We have been determined to work collaboratively with other organisations which offer business support services. This has earned us a reputation as an effective team player, able to work strategically with others for the benefit of our region.”
The Cluster’s launch will take place midway through a conference “Building a Sustainable UK Diagnostic Sector: Meeting the Challenge” jointly hosted by The Cluster, University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire, and the University of Warwick.
The launch will feature a presentation by Executive Chair, David Kidney, a speech from Henriette Lyttle-Breukelaar, Director of Economic Strategy for the Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP, and a presentation by Lisa Page of law firm Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP.
