We have lift off!

On 21 May, the new West Midlands Health Technologies Cluster will be launched (virtually) after having opened its doors to members last month.

Executive Chair, David Kidney will say:

“We have made great progress in just the few weeks since we opened our door to members in the health technologies sector.

“We have signed up our first members and strategic partners, lobbied for the Midlands PPE Collective, helped set up the Health Technologies Supply Chain Strategy Group and we will launch DIAGCOMM – the WM Diagnostics Innovation Community. We have significantly contributed to the HPO (High Potential Opportunities) prospectus for the Department for International Trade and the WM Growth Company. We have started our monthly e-bulletins to members and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Medilink Midlands.

“Emerging out of our work on the HPO prospectus, we have identified four strengths of our region’s health technologies sector, what we call the four Ds.

D is for DEVICES

And for DIAGNOSTICS

And for DIGITAL

And over-arching these three,

D is for DATA

“We plan to reflect these strengths in all our work for the sector.”
